Romania has been affected by economic, social and political changes which has resulted in increased poverty. Reports show 46.8% of Romanian children are at risk of poverty or social exclusion. Over a quarter of Romania’s population lives on less than US$5.50 a day, the highest poverty rate in the EU. The majority of the poor exists in Rural Romania.
Islands4kids program includes teaching English, tutoring, making crafts and helping them manage and survive the adverse issues they face.
In addition, we are developing and implementing programs to excite the kids and young adults to continue their education.
